THIS IS A 4 WEEK COURSE. THIS CLASS WILL RUN ON WEDNESDAYS FROM 5:00-6:00PM. GROUP WILL HAVE A MAX OF THREE CHILDREN AGES 10-12. CLASSES WILL BE 6/5, 6/12, 6/19 AND 6/26.
THIS GROUP CLASS WILL FOCUS ON TEACHING TWEENS ABOUT SOCIAL EMOTIONAL SKILLS. Social emotional learning is a process in which children acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to: Identify, understand, and manage emotions; Set and achieve positive goals; Feel and show empathy for others; Establish and maintain positive relationships and Make responsible decisions. Each week will focus on a different skills (i.e., self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship skills.
