THIS IS A 6 WEEK COURSE. THIS CLASS WILL RUN ON WEDNESDAYS FROM 6:00-7:00PM. GROUP WILL HAVE A MAX OF THREE TEENAGERS AGES 13-15. CLASSES WILL BE 7/24, 7/31, 8/7, 8/14, 8/21 AND 8/28.


THIS GROUP CLASS WILL FOCUS ON TEACHING TEENAGERS ABOUT SOCIAL EMOTIONAL SKILLS. Social emotional learning is a process in which children acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to: Identify, understand, and manage emotions; Set and achieve positive goals; Feel and show empathy for others; Establish and maintain positive relationships and Make responsible decisions. Each week will focus on a different skills (i.e., self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship skills.
